Her research group develops neuromorphic sensing and computing technology for robots capable of working safely and effectively in human vicinity. Prof. Sandamirskaya has led research groups at UZH/ETH and Intel Labs and holds a Dr.rer.nat. degree from the Institute for Neural Computation at the Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany. She is a co-founder of the cognitive robotics integrator company Auroniq-robotics and of the startup YuRo, which is building a fast AI system for safe and efficient robotic manipulators.
